Works, Inc. Forms Strategic Partnership with INTRUST
Providing Customers with Revolutionary New Tools for Commercial Credit Card Programs

Austin, Texas, August 10, 2004 - Works, Inc., the leading provider of commercial credit card optimization solutions, today announced the formation of a strategic partnership with INTRUST Bank of Wichita, Kansas. In the relationship, Works will provide the Works Payment Manager technology and service suite to the bank's commercial purchasing card customers.
The Works solution allows businesses and government organizations to manage their commercial credit card programs online with increased risk-management controls, enhanced integration with existing accounting systems and greater flexibility for cardholders. With Works' Active Card Control™(ACC ™) and Active Card Integration ™ (ACI ™) technology, customers can take advantage of the same level of controls and system integration functionality that checks provide while benefiting from the economies, efficiency, and profitability of card use. Works couples its technology with a full service support methodology that provides consulting and assistance to customers from implementation onward, allowing customers to benefit from industry best practices and maximize the success of their card programs.
Traditional commercial credit card programs require intense manual interaction between the bank and the organization's card program administrator. Works provides organizations with easy to use, web-based tools so that they can empower their cardholders with increased visibility into their purchasing card activity and distributed responsibility of accounting and reconciliation activity. Carholders can review card transactions, request increases in available funds for one-time purchases, automatically reconcile transactions for accounting purposes and more.
With the Works patent-pending ACC™ and ACI™ technology, organizations can expand their card programs beyond traditional limits. Works Active Card Control™ allows organizations to dynamically manage available funds on cards - making changes in available funds active in a matter of seconds. The technology also allows for the automation of existing workflow processes such as purchase approval and pre-approval, GL (general ledger) coding, transaction-to-request matching, remittance advice and reconciliation. With the enhanced features available through the Works solution, traditional check-based payments, such as accounts payable items, can now be migrated to the card, increasing payment efficiency and profitability for organizations.
"We are excited to add the Works Payment Manager solution to our purchasing card offering. The Works platform is the industry's leading solution for the management of purchasing card programs. The platform and Works' full-service support methodology provide the control and automation tools our customers are asking for as they start to expand their purchasing card use beyond traditional low-dollar purchases to larger-dollar, more complex purchases. We believe that the addition of the Works solution will provide our customers with a greater range of services and enable them to truly optimize their card programs," said Ron Baldwin, President and COO, INTRUST.
"INTRUST is an excellent new partner for Works. As the largest independent bank in Kansas, INTRUST offers Works the opportunity to expand our customer base and enhance INTRUST's card portfolio. We are looking forward to a strong partnership," said Jerry Lester, CEO, Works.
INTRUST is the fourth credit card issuing bank partner of Works. Works also has partnerships with Bank of America in Charlotte, North Carolina, SunTrust in Atlanta, Georgia and PNC Bank in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Works sells the Payment Manager solution in conjunction with the banks' commercial sales forces. Works has over 150 customers today in partnership with banks.
